During your treatment our support team may request additional photos in order to diagnose issues that arise. This article explains how to provide them to us.
Scenario: Your aligners are not fitting properly or we've asked you for more photos in response to a check-in you sent
1) Double check that you’re trying to put on the correct aligner: Take a look at the bottom of the aligner, and look for the text printed there. You should see a number and a letter that indicate whether it is the upper or lower aligner and the stage number. For example, your lower stage ten may say “L10”. If you were wearing the incorrect aligners, please let us know. Otherwise, please continue with step #2.
2) Send us some pictures: We can help with troubleshooting if we can get some clear images of your aligners from multiple angles. Here’s what we’ll need:
A) Wash and dry your aligners.
B) Place your aligners on a dark, solid-colored background in a well-lit area.
C) Place the aligner(s) with which you're having an issue next to your last, best-fitting aligner(s) without an issue. Be sure to let us know which aligner is which. Please see the example image below.
D) We’ll need to be able to see the aligners from multiple angles to try and find the issue. Please take a picture of the aligners from the top, bottom, front, and both sides, and be sure to focus in on any specific problem areas.
E) If haven't already, please also send us an image of the aligners in your mouth with your teeth parted and lips retracted.
F) When you're ready to send them to us, please do so as a direct message in the Uniform Teeth smartphone app by clicking the grey camera icon next to the message box. If you send in the additional photos as regular check-ins, it will make your timeline inaccurate.
